Midnight Sun Bowl

Midnight Sun Bowl 2026 is an open developmental flag football tournament for Women and U17 Girls, held in Oulu, Finland, during the peak of the Nordic summer—when the sun never sets.

The tournament is played late into the evening, with championship games taking place at midnight, offering a unique competitive experience unlike any other flag football event in Europe.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

• 5v5 Flag Football

• Minimum 4 games guaranteed

• 15-minute halves

• Running clock

• 1 timeout per team per game

• Rules governed by AFF Flag Rules

• Championship games played at midnight

TEAM CAPACITY

• Women - 8 teams max

• U17 Girls -  4 teams max

Spots are limited. Registration closes once divisions are full.

REGISTRATION FEES

Team Entry

• Women - 150€ per team

• U17 Girls - 100€ per team

Free Agents

• 20€ per player

Free agents may be placed on existing teams or grouped into new teams based on registration numbers.

PAYMENT POLICY

• Full payment required to confirm registration

• No refunds

OFFICIATING & STREAMING

• Tournament-appointed referees

• Women’s teams may assist with player referee duties

• All games streamed live on YouTube
