What Is Gobbler Games?

Gobbler Games is a one-day youth flag football event designed to introduce young players to flag football in a safe, fun, and beginner-friendly environment.

 

Flag football is a non-contact version of American football, where players pull flags instead of tackling. The event is inspired by Finland’s most established flag football tournament (Turkey Bowl), and adapted specifically for youth participants.

 

Who Is This Event For?

• Youth participants, 2013 – 2009 born

• Beginners and first-time players welcome

• No previous American football experience required

 

Teams can form through:

• Schools

• Local sports clubs

• Groups of friends

Participation is optional and low-pressure, with an emphasis on enjoyment and teamwork.

 

Event Format

• One-day indoor event

• Games played at Mukkulan Kuplahalli, Lahti

• Short games with clear scheduling

• Focus on:

About the Organizer

American Football in Finland (AFF) is a non-profit organization founded in 2017 that promotes youth, flag, and tackle football nationwide.

AFF organizes the Turkey Bowl, Finland’s largest annual flag football tournament, and has been a leader in the growth of flag football in Finland for over five years through youth events, camps, and community programs.
